Material issues

Arvind Fashions conducts a materiality mapping exercise to identify issues that are material to its business and relevant stakeholders. This will guide our sustainability efforts and enable us to effectively utilize our resources so we can contribute towards a future of sustainable lifestyles.

AFL’s materiality assessment is a systematic process that compiles diverse inside-out and outside-in perspectives from external stakeholders, trend analyses and internal engagement with relevant departments. We intend to undertake this assessment every 2-3 years including review of the assessment methodology, detailed desktop research, and active and extensive stakeholder engagement.

The recent assessment was conducted in early 2018 involving interaction with our business heads, employees and top management and external stakeholders including customers, investors and vendor partners.
